What is self storage?

At A1 Storage Solutions our facilities have a selection of room sizes that you can rent, from a space as small as a locker up to the size of a garage, on a short or long term basis. You bring your goods or possessions to the storage facility, lock them in the room and come and go as you please. You are the only key holder. You can store almost anything unless it is perishable, living or flammable (see our terms and conditions)

Our fully trained customer service advisors will show you around the facility, answer any queries and questions you might have and give guidance and advice. Please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone or email.

How does Self Storage work?

You can store your goods with us for a day, weeks, months or years-however long you need. Storage containers can be booked in advance to make sure the size you require is available on the day you need it. You can also easily switch to a smaller or larger container whilst in storage if you need to. Self storage is flexible, secure and hassle free, in fact it couldn't be any easier, our one-stop-shop approach means our customer service advisors will deal with any problem you might have.  Our customer service advisors are trained to help and advise you to make sure you get the best service and value for money.

What kind of security do you have on site?

We take the security of your goods and possessions extremely seriously. To protect them, our facilities use sophisticated alarm systems, 24hr CCTV surveillance, motion detection alarms . Access to our storage facilities is strictly controlled. Also, you are the only one with access to your container, which is locked with a padlock owned by you.

Do I need my own padlock?

Yes, you need your own padlock to ensure that you are the sole key holder for your room and to ensure that your room is securely locked at all times. A1 Storage solutions sell a range of locks in our on site office.

How much does it cost?

The price you pay is dependent on the size of the container you need. It is our commitment to get you into the smallest space possible. The rental charge is calculated according to the floor area of the storage container, the smaller the floor area the less you will pay.

Estimating the space you need isn't as simple and straightforward as it looks. There are factors to consider first which may affect the size of the container you require, such as:

  • What you need to store
  • Whether your items can be stacked or not
  • Whether you need leave a walkway through the storage container to get to your possessions.

Our customer service advisors will advise you on how to stack your goods and possessions to make maximum use of the space.

Do you have a minimum rental period?

No, you can store for a day, long weekend, weeks, months or years!

What is included in the price - are there any hidden extras?

The price for storage you are quoted excludes VAT. You will need a padlock to secure your room and we do require your goods to be insured whilst they are in storage.

How do I pay for my storage room?

We accept credit ,debit cards and bank transfer.

Do I pay weekly or monthly?

We'll invoice you on a per calendar month basis, payable in advance. We have no notice period and when you vacate your room we will refund to you any unused storage charges.

How long can I stay?

You are welcome to stay as long as you require.

How often can I have access to my goods?

You can come and go as you please, as many times as you need to during your stay our facility is 24/7.

Do I need insurance?

Yes, your goods must be insured whilst in storage. This is your sole responsibility, check with your home insurance as you may be covered.

How do I get my goods to you?

You have to bring your belongings to the storage facility, ask a customer service advisor for more details about our removal company or van with driver service. Our facilities have ample car parking and indoor loading/unloading areas.

Can I transfer to another container if I need more or less space?

You can easily move to another sized container at any time, depending on your storage requirements and the availability of other container sizes in the storage facility.

What if I have booked and my plans are delayed?

No problem, just let us know about the changes and we will extend or amend your booking.

Do you offer storage for business?

Yes, we offer flexible contracts for short or long term Self Storage. There is no minimum stay.

Do you have WiFi?

Yes, all facilities are fully equipped with free access to WiFi.
